African Festival UK is a voluntary organisation founded in 2003 by Pedro Da Silva Vicente. Our aim is to raise awareness of the history, culture and traditions descending from Africa and the Diaspora... click here for more about we are.

Since 2003, African Festival UK have hosted two large annual events scheduled for the weekends surrounding Africa day.

A football tournament made up of local community teams competing for the African Festival UK cup.
A day of celebration entitled African Explosion incorporating music, fashion, food, dance and arts and crafts from Africa and the Diaspora.... click here for more about African Explosion.

Funding is available to us is very limited. We raise money through a wide range of workshops we offer including African dance, drumming, DJ skills, mask making, history lessons, storytelling, drama, cooking and much more. ...
